“Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.”
(Psalm 150 NIV)

I read these words this morning. Then I read them again. The part that stood out to me was…”Praise him with…” The Psalmist is encouraging everyone to praise God with what they have. If they have a trumpet, use that. If it’s a harp or lyre, use it to praise God. If you are dancing, praise Him in your dance. No matter what you are using, or doing, use it to give Him praise.
Normally, I set a prayer focus for today. Instead I think it would be nice change to simply praise God for the blessings as well as trials He permits. Each and every one of them is ultimately allowed to bring praise to the Lord.
