“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;” (John 11:25 NIV)
We are in the midst of Holy Week. For those of us who walk with Christ, this is a somber reminder of Jesus’ road to the cross. We remember the mock trial, the false imprisonment and the harsh treatment He endured for us. It’s humbling to think the Son of God chose this so we could be saved. Our week ends with the celebration of Easter.
For some, Easter is about bunnies, candy and pastel colored eggs. For others, it’s about the resurrection of our Savior. Still, for most it means attending church. Whether you are a Christian or not, it seems Easter morning begins with church.
Our prayer focus this week is for those who will attend church this weekend. There are hearts that need to experience the resurrection of Jesus in a personal way.
Thank you for the masses who will be attending churches all around the world this weekend. I pray even now that you would prepare their hearts to receive your message. I ask that you would give a special anointing to the pastors who will be bringing your word. And I thank you for those who will receive the gift of salvation.
